Lacquer for outdoor pieces (neutral)

This polyurethane lacquer consists of two components in a 10:1 ratio; it is a transparent lacquer of medium viscosity with a very short drying time between coats. The product forms an extremely hard layer on Corten steel surfaces kept outdoors. It adheres perfectly when applied over bz-Cor lacquer, leaving a smooth, even, velvety surface.

VERY IMPORTANT: please read the product’s technical specification and safe-use instructions to ensure proper application, understand how the product must be used, and achieve the desired result in line with safety and environmental standards.

Please make sure the bz-COR POLYURETHANE SAT-EX lacquer is used on cold-rolled CORTEN steel, or on hot-rolled CORTEN steel from which the mill scale has been removed by sandblasting.

Before using any lacquer, oxidation must be stopped with the bp-Cor fixator, leaving the surface to dry for at least 48 hours. Depending on the lacquer type, the bz-Cor lacquer must be applied first — it acts as a film between the surface (oxidation + fixation) and the chosen lacquer. In this case, always apply bz-COR lacquer first, then bz-COR POLYURETHANE SAT-EX.
