Lacquer for outdoor pieces (gloss)

bz-Cor Gloss polyurethane lacquer

This gloss Corten steel lacquer is intended for outdoor use. It is a single-component lacquer that gives surfaces a hard protective layer and must be applied over the protective bz-Cor lacquer. The latter acts as a bonding layer, ensuring the polyurethane lacquer is not applied over a water-based product (e.g. the bp-Cor fixator). This gives far stronger adhesion than applying the lacquer directly onto the fixator. Please note that in the long term, due to sun, rain and other weather, the lacquer loses its initial gloss and becomes closer to a satin finish (this happens to practically all gloss lacquers).

VERY IMPORTANT: please read the product’s technical specification and safe-use instructions to ensure proper application, understand how the product must be used, and achieve the desired result in line with safety and environmental standards.

Before using any lacquer, oxidation must be stopped with the bp-Cor fixator, leaving the surface to dry for at least 48 hours. Depending on the lacquer type, the bz-Cor lacquer must be applied first — it acts as a film between the surface (oxidation + fixation) and the chosen lacquer. In this case, always apply bz-COR lacquer first, then bz-Cor POLYURETHANE Gloss.
