Fixator

bp-COR is a product used as an oxidation stopper, created to halt the rusting processes on Corten steel surfaces when the rusting has been triggered with act-COR.

If it rains after bp-COR is sprayed onto a piece, the surface may wash and the top rust layer may run off, and for 4–5 months “patina” oxidation run-offs may be visible on nearby surfaces. Durable protection develops over time (within 4–5 months), under varying environmental conditions.

Oxidation is stopped and the product becomes smudge-free and smooth. The fixator can be used indoors (walls, ceilings, decorations, etc.) or outdoors, but we recommend using a lacquer for complete protection of the piece and for achieving different gloss tones.

bp-COR is a liquid concentrated emulsion. For use, dilute it with 50% water (avoid water with a high calcium content).

During application the product is milk-coloured; after drying completely it disappears. The final result is a thin layer that may slightly darken the initial tones of the artificially induced rusting.
