Corten-base paint

As Corten steel keeps gaining popularity worldwide and ever wider uses are found for it, designers have taken to proposing weathered steel for interior finishes (walls, doors, ceilings, columns, etc.), furniture and small interior accents.

Yet weathered steel often never sees the light of day, because clients usually want to avoid cold metal products and structures in an interior. Or the renovation is already done and they simply want to give certain spaces distinction, refresh the furniture and so on.

The question is how to solve this. What can produce that colour, effect and patterning?

We offer a unique product — Corten-base paint (i.e. containing Corten metal particles).

All you need is any clean surface, properly cleaned and primed (according to the surface type — wood, plastic, concrete, plasterboard, etc.), and the b-COR paint can be applied. Once the paint has dried well, the surface takes on the same properties as Corten steel, so for further treatment (to trigger oxidation) the Corten activator act-COR is used (per the manufacturer’s recommendations, available here).

The textures you achieve will depend on how act-COR is applied, the tools used (sprayer, roller, brush, sponge, etc.) and your wishes (solid colour, mottled, drip-run surface and so on).
